WHO WE ARE
It started in 2002 with the group of 6 lady members. In 2002 IC Colony was facing severe water shortage. To solve this problem few people would gather on the road at night to check the water tank then later in the morning letters were addressed to the BMC regarding the water issue.
But still their problem was not solved. In spite of several efforts it remained the same. Later they went on rally to the BMC office and got their problem solved.
Seeing their courageous and victorious act some gents advised to form a small ladies wing. This started with few numbers but now they have reached to 500 women in the group.
Our Objectives
Empowering every women by standing and fighting for their rights.
Helping them to attend BMC meetings, police meetings, helping them to solve their family issues, garbage issues etc.
Educating under privileged children by giving them tuitions and other curricular activities.
Our Activities
Samaj Kalyan Kendra community center is given to them by cooperator Abhishek Gosalkar. The activities which are carried out in this center are as follows:-
Tuitions from Monday to Friday 5:00 – 8:30 pm.
Medical camps.
Parents and teachers meet every month sensitizing parents of community center kids .
They have 18 teachers and 120 children (due to lockdown they call children from 7-10th std so the number of children is come to 80).
They also organize Paralegal courses for women such as:-
Breast cancer awareness
Session crime and menstrual cycle.
